Pickups/Drops in an 8 teamer

Postby inferno19 » Sun Aug 31, 2003 4:44 pm

I am looking to drop Josh Reed and the Pittsburgh Steelers Defense and am looking for players to pick up in their absence.

I'm dropping Reed because he is no longer the clear number 2 in Buffalo, and will probably be splitting the catches when they don't go to Moulds...which looks like a lot from preseason..

And as for Pittsburgh, I already have Tampa, and likely wont start Pitt too much; especially with Joey Porter getting capped. So I'll just make a small pickup on TB's bye week, and should be fine, rather than having Pitt take up space on my roster.

So I'm looking at a few players now....
Tai Streets, WR - SF
Antonio Bryant, WR - DAL
Olandis Gary, RB - DET
Robert Ferguson, WR - GB
Billy Miller, TE - HOU

I can take two of them and I'm leaning towards Gary and Bryant. I just saw that Gary got traded to DET, and, as I have Stewart, I can handcuff that RB situation. And Antonio Bryant was a bit of a surprise, as he had something like 730 yards last year, in his second season. And who knows what he might do under Parcells.

I also like Streets though, as he's proven himself last year as a solid number 2 WR in SF...but I'm worried about Garcia's back.

Just put Miller in there cause they threw to him alot last year. Don't like his chances this year, though, with A. Johnson there..

So I have no idea at the moment. Any replies and input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
