Back ups now.but will these RB's be starters into the year?

Which of these three RB should break the starting role as the year goes on..

1. Adrian Petterson

2. T J Duckett

3. Onterrio Smith

I think they all stand a good chance at it...what do you all think?...

smith has the highest chance, Peterson has a high chance, too but lower potential. Duckett will be the safest bet for next season

Watching him @ MSU and having him on my ff team may skew my opinion, but I like Duckett to see the bulk of the RB action for the ATL. O Smith would be my pick for right now. I don’t know if anyone will be able to run in Chicago this year.

I think with Vick hurt that Duckett will get a chance to get more carries, and in turn, will become more of a part of the offense in the long run. I think he will end up a decent #2 and a very solid #3 back.

Smith will be the best in the short term, but could very well lose his starting job when/if Bennett comes back (which is still a big mystery for whatever reason). I think Smith will make someone a good starting back in years to come. He's got the big play ability.

Crack the starting line-up:

O. Smith: Yes

A. Peterson: Yes, but who cares all Bear RB #s will be bad

T.J. Duckett: Maybe not, but his totals will still be good

I think the two coachs have announced that both Petterson and Duckett will be part of the dreaded RBBC for their teams.
O. Smith will BE the starter, until further notice. Last I heard.

I don't think any of them are great bets. Smith certainly has a ton of potential, but Doug Chapman is being called the starter now, and he should be back from his ankle sprain week 2. Smith had a pretty heinous knee injury late last year at Oregon too. Thomas is better than he showed last year in Chicago (although probably not as good as he showed in 2001), and I think the Vick injury should affect all the Falcon's runners adversely. I'm imagining 8 guys loading up at the line forcing Doug Johnson to prove he can beat teams with his arm, which he may or may not be able to do.
