i think Parker stands a shot of taking over for Staley....what does Staley really bring to the team that parker can't. Staley did lose his job to injury in Philly so you never know......

i for one am hanging onto Parker but then i am in a dynasty league so i kinda have to.

i've never been a fan of staley, never saw what all the fuss was about and always thought he was pretty overrated.

Parker was quite impressive today and if continues this type of play why would Cowher think of benching him for Staley or Bettis? Granted the Bus is a great power runner and goal line battering ram, but Willie Parker showed some awesome speed and elusiveness today, something the Steelers haven't had in a long time.

He should follow the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy.

I do remember one play where Willie Beamon Parker Ole`d a block and nearly cost Big Ben a sack. Staley can pass block. That's usually one of those little things that hold back a lot of rookies.

true. but keep in mind that Pitt runs much more than they pass.

618 times I believe last season. Thats crazy. And when you run that much, and are as talented as Parker seems to be... Pass blocking will change and evolve for that offense to use the better HB. Plus he'll have to learn how to pick up those blitz's etc.

still hopeful and wishful thinking at this poitn that he'll take duce's job. duce = putz.

If Cowher is a smart man, he'll keep riding Parker....He's was f'n awesome today.
