Mike Anderson?

Postby Ducks4Life416 » Mon Sep 12, 2005 5:17 pm

OK, I know what happened and all of that stuff. And, I also saw Tatum Bell not do so well, when Anderson went out. So, with this in mind, does Anderson still have his job? And how severe is his injury?

Thanks. Either way, I'm looking to deal this guy asap, but I'd like to know a bit more info.

Torn rib cartiledge is the diagnosis. Causes a lot of pain but doesn't have any physical effects beyond that. Anderson says he'll play through it just fine (ex-marine) and it looks like he'll get the start next week.

Just give him a shot and he's good to go.

My first thought was that I assumed that Bell would take over at some point this year anyway but that I would take Anderson's stats for as long as he was a starter and drop him if he lost the job. Bell came in and immediately snaps off a 30 yarder then goes to crap... what about all of his chances inside the 5? Guess I'll hold on to Anderson after all.

I'm sure not playing him next week though, can't take another goose egg from that spot..

I wouldn't count on Anderson in Week 2, but if Bell keeps P*****g away every chance he gets to be the #1 guy in Denver, Anderson will likely remain "the man". (What's the alternative, Ron "I love Old Country Buffet" Dayne?)

I'd stay away from Anderson in week 2 but definitely expect him to be the starter at any point when healthy. I mean Bell ran for 47 yards on 13 carries including a 30 yard run. That's 12 runs for 17 yards. Absolutely horrible.
The facts have no meaning.

I really need Anderson for week 3. I'm just hoping he stay's healthy and gets me through a bye week were I'm losing like 4 key players.

Same thing Travis Henry played through two years ago, where he scored like 9 TDs in his first 6 games. Sooner or later, though, I think that injury started to hamper Henry, who is also tough as nails.

Though C-Mart is tougher than both guys combined.

I really dont know, it's not like Anderson did much before he went out. Wasn't he 4 carries for 5 yards I think?
