Sure, I had an athletic scholarship to attend college, but it was skiing, not football. I only began playing football in my junior year, but wound up being picked in the third round of the AFL draft. I wound up playing for three pro teams, making an impact on each of them. I scored over 100 points in seven seasons, and went to the Pro Bowl six times, earning the Pro Bowl MVP award once. I was a Super Bowl winner and was inducted into the Hall of Fame - not bad for a guy on a skiing scholarship!

I still have no idea who Stig Bakke is (I have a feeling I should know this), but you're right: Jan Stenerud is correct!
