New Kicker in Washington

Postby Santana on Wed Sep 14, 2005 11:02 am

Just saw the breaking news video update on Redskins.com. The Redskins have signed kicker Nick Novak, who apparently was the all-time leading kicker in ACC history! Sounds like the guy has the college resume, it will be interesting to see how he can perform. Given the Redskins have trouble scoring TD's and kick a lot of field goals, he might have some fantasy relevance if he has an powerful or accurate enough leg.

Novak was a pretty solid college kicker, although I saw him miss his share of kicks when I was at UMD. He certainly has the distance for the NFL - I hope he succeeds.

He's signed just to bridge the gap untill Hall returns. Which is probably after 1 week.
