I was wondering how everyone views the top QB with so much going on in the first week of play. For instance, Daunte Culpepper's goose-egg performance can't be overlooked. While he will definitely rebound, is he still the second best QB the rest of the way?

What about McNabb's injury? How will that affect him? I remember him struggling majorly two years ago when somewhat injured.

Favre's O-line, defense, and loss of Javon Walker are all major concerns.

The Rams looked miserable on offense -- even though Bulger did put up respectable numbers, how will his full season go if the Rams continue to implode?

Factoring all this in, what's the new top 10?

Interesting question. I don't have confidence in my list, but I'll take a stab at it.

1. P. Manning -- easy

2. D. McNabb -- Atlanta is a solid defence, and McNabb put up respectable numbers. He'll get better.

3. C-Pep -- he'll rebound, but the offense will miss R. Moss.

4. K. Collins -- The Randy factor. Thrown in Oakland's woeful defence and you have a great fantasy QB. (Aside: Manning and C-Pep have been great fantasy QBs in part because their team defenses were so bad -- which is why I like Collins).

5. T. Brady -- solid, solid, solid. In fantasy and in the NFL -- Tom Brady will very seldom lose the game for you.

6. M. Bulger -- I think he'll be up and down all year. Great sometimes, horrible others.

7. Trent Green -- KC can run the ball. And run and run and run the ball.

8. M. Hasselbeck -- similar comments to M. Bulger

-- A couple of hunches here:

9. Carson Palmer -- he has a solid offense around him.

10. B. Rothlesburger -- a poor man's Tom Brady.

I guess this means that Palmer will be a top 3 QB and Pepper should have gone 8th round :-b

How I rank them after week 1:

1 Manning
2 Culpepper
3 McNabb
4 Bulger
5 Green
6 Collins
7 Brady
8 Delhomme
9 Palmer
10 Brooks

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there shouldn't be any significant change in rankings after 1 week. The only big change I saw was Palmer because he has a legit chance to be a top 10 QB the way he manages the offense on the road after a rough preseason. Favre is a bit shaky without an OLine and his #1 WR but I fully expect Daunte and McNabb to bounce back to their old selves - they were facing top defenses and came out flat in week 1. Brady is this high IMO because he is so steady and Bulger is #4 because Martz is an idiot and lets him wing it all over the place 50 times per game. Vick showed us again on Monday why he is an incredible player but not very useful in fantasy formats because he usually is around 200 total yards and maybe 1 or 2 TDs total.

Here is how I would call it, with about 5 guys tied for 10th ;-7

1. Peyton
2. McNabb (I think he'll be fine)
3. Collins
4. Bulger
5. Daunte
6. Green
7. Brady
8. Brooks
9. Palmer
10. Favre

It's hard not to want to put Vick, Hass, or Brees in as a possible #10 as well...

It's hard to look bad against a Chargers' secondary which ranked 31st against the pass last year - giving up nearly 260 yards per game through the air...
