WEEK 3 D's (Balt. bye)..

Hey gang,

I have the Ravens D, but they are on bye next week so I will need to pick up someone to fill in. I'd like to pick them up off FA now so I don't need to spend a waiver claim next week, probably there are other people in this boat too.

There are NOT a lot of attractive options/matchups next week, based on D's that are typically available. I don't expect any formulas available yet or anything, but who do you think might be best?..:

Chargers v. NYG
Jets v. Jac
Buccanneers @ GB
Rams v. Ten
Seahawks v. Ari

My gut instinct is to the Chargers, since that's the nationally televised Sunday night game, and the SD fans will be lusting for Eli's blood.. but any other suggestions let me know..

Bucs @ GB looks really good to me. That's not the homer in me talkin' either!

Bucs v. Green Bay looks like the most attractive option of the ones you listed....

Without going into a lot of detail, the ones that stick out at me for week 3 are:


Atlanta (BUF)
Indy (CLE)
Tampa (GB)
Cincinnati (CHI)

If you want a real sleeper, go with the Bengals. The Bucs, Colts, and even Falcons have some hype to them and could very well already be on teams in deep, homer, or big leagues.

Hmm, I picked up the Buccaneers, and then about an hour ago somebody dropped the Bengals (for SD)..

I guess it'll be between TB and CIN for me.. not sure which it'll be, but I guess the choice has to be made before this week's games, since I think CIN will be a very popular waiver pick next week going into the Bears game..

I picked up the Cinn defense for week 3. I also liked the bucs but the choice was between facing Favre or Orton. Gotta like facing a rookie.

Colts D is #1 matchup D for me in Week 3, with Cincy being #1A.
