LJ Smith. 17.90 points coming from a Tight End, that outdoes Gates by 9.90 points, and Gonzalez by a whopping 13.50 points. I knew this kid was going to be big.
Oliver Perez, playing fantasy football? Oh yes, it's true.
McNabb was expected to rock. And he rocked. T.O. too. But mine's for Chicago D/ST because they had something to prove, and are in the process of proving it.
For my own team I'd have to give my game ball to Randy McMichael so far. Westbrook and Jordan had good days, but I expected that. McMichaels 2nd big week in a row is the only reason I'm primed to go 2-0.
In terms of who deserves the game ball overall this week:
QB - McNabb
RB - Stephen Davis
WR - Housh
TE - LJ Smith
K - Tynes
DEF - Chicago
McNabb and Chicago were just solid plays that came through with exceptional games. Davis and Housh were most likely necessary plays for underdog teams that far exceeded expectations and problem greatly aided in a few upset victories this week. Tynes and Smith I don't think were the most impressive at their positions (Bironas and Heiden seemed better), but its doubtful anyone started those two, so the impact of Tynes and Smith is greater.
Overall, I'd still give the gameball to McNabb, simply because he likely single-handedly won many a fantasy football game this week, especially in a week where most starting fantasy QBs did poorly.
McNabb is the obvious choice here but I have to give credit to Cadillac Williams. I was very impressed with the way he ran against a tough Buffalo defense.
Thomas Jones...Cedric who? He went undrafted in my league and I picked him up when Cedric was still holding out. Jones showed that he can produce and maybe Chicago has some semblance of an offense after all?! And who said DET had a good defense?
Doesn't it suck to get beat at Fantasy Football...by a girl?
