I paid a lot to get him in my auction league (almost double what Palmer went for). This league has non-standard scoring which puts a fairly large premium on QBs. At this point he has little trade value, and I can't drop him. Best you can do is try and get a solid backup and cross your fingers. Unbelieveably I still somehow have a chance to start 2-0 depending on tonight's outcome.
In a 1 keeper league(SA being mine), I drafted him with the 5th(of 10) pick in the first round. Qb's scoring 6 pts a td and 1 pt per 20 yards passing put him, Peyton and McNabb on another level from all the other qb's, as well as other position players. I took Jamal Lewis on my way back(ouch!) and I thought I was set.
Being a Viking fan, I think CPep is dealing with lots of issues, porous o-line, lack of a running game because of it, new offensive coordinator, loss of Moss, receivers not gettin open. He did look like a stud in preseason, so I think he will return, just not to last years form, but still top 10 qb.
Fortunately, I did get Palmer in about the 8th round.
I am just happy I still won this week with CPep and JLew in the lineup.

He went early second round in my money league. I was not very confident with C-Pep this year. I had him ranked 2nd tied with Mcnabb on my cheat sheet but planned on letting someone else get him. I feel bad for the guy who got him and also Javon walker in the 4th.

I've watched it pretty much devastate a couple of guys in my money leagues this year. One guy in particular took CPepp at 1.8 of a 10 teamer that is traditionally RB heavy the first 2 rds. He came back with JJ/Gonzo/Burleson in that order and grabbed the BALT. in rd. 7. OUCH! Talk about not performing up to par yet.

Yes, That has been a huge disapointment for the first 2 weeks in all leagues, even Manning didnt do well this week and he was nearly a top 3 pick in any league. Min has sure shocked me, and they havent played any hard teams yet.
I have C-pep in one league, & started him the 1st two weeks,
but no more! Luckily my back-up is Tom Brady. Don't laugh, it
could have been worse considering I planned on C-pep being my
#1 all year & just wanted a back-up for his bye week. I sure
wish I'd looked at Carson Palmer closer this year. I think he's
going to have a monster season.
