Hurricane Rita - unbelievable....

Postby Plindsey88 » Mon Sep 19, 2005 11:19 am

Looks like Rita will be a Cat 3 when it hits Houston Texas late in the week....

Can you even imagine evacuating New Orleans to the Astrodome, and getting hit with another hurricane?

Unbelievable....

Far from unbelievable, after what has happened lately. It does suck the big one though.

That's Rita.... Right now it's a tropical storm... It will become a category 1 hurricane tonight and make it's way through the gulf over to the Houston area.... By the time it gets there, it will likely be AT LEAST a category 3, and possibly stronger....

It should hit the Houston/Louisiana area next weekend....

Man its crazy...There is one behind it, Phillipe, that is already a hurricane according to the news today. But fortunately, it looks to be heading more N up the Atlantic, so that's a good thing.

Wow, very active tropical season this year...records are unfortunately made to be broken I guess. :,-( It is a shame how they seem to hit the same areas all the time.

There are still 2 months of active hurricane season left as well. This would be really bad, but I have a feeling we might get through all the names of the storms this year and have to resort to Greek letter naming. That's what they do when the names are gone.

Hurricane Alpha in October? :-o !+) :~(
