Do you guys think he will be a servicable TE for the rest of the year?
To be honest with you, I have always liked this guy but he never got any balls thrown his way. I have NO IDEA why I have always liked him but that isn't the point.
Also, you know the Browns had some packages drawn up for Winslow. Are they/would they, use any of those for Heiden?

I was thinking something similar about the packages though I thought maybe that is why they brought in Billy Miller. Any idea if Miller will see any time after that performance by Heiden?

I know. i'm not usually the guy to jump on the 1 week output but I was hoping to snag a servicable TE off waivers.

The Browns look like a team that is going to have a different top receiver every week. They have about five different guys Dilfer seems to be spreading the ball around to (Northcutt, Edwards, Bryant, F. Jackson, Heiden), and none of them seem to have emerged as Dilfer's favorite target. I don't think any of them will likely be reliable options week-in/week-out.. it will be more like catching lightning in a bottle if you happen to start them when it happens.. :-/

I grabbed him for this week's start. Pollard is on a bye.

Heiden's been thrown to 14 times...fourth among tight ends, and cought 9 of them. Only Bryant (16 passes) and Northcutt (15) have seen more thrown their way by Dilfer. He's getting a lot of looks....which is always good for a TE.

Dilfer if I recall has always liked TE's. Remember him and Sharp in Balt.

I think he will end up being a decent option. They seem improved from last year. Take a gamble on him.

another option is Stevens in Seatle. I chose him over Heiden to replace Heap this week, but it was a close decision.

Heiden is this week's Chris Baker, IMO. He's never been servicable before and I see little to no reason to depend on him from this point on.
