this is a trade i tried to offer:

kurt warner, peerless price, and mike alstott

for

culpepper/ladanian tomlinson

1.) am i an idiot?
2.) is his counter of his 2 for warner, edge, and burress even worth consideration? looks like a wash to me, except for the part where i lose a backup receiver.

I would not do the trade the guy that gets 3 players and in this case warner and peerless price gets the edge.
Tomlinson is the best in the offer but I would not get rid of Warner yet.
Plaxico has not played well (its true only two weeks) but who knows what he might do later on, but has to prove first!

i just want a better #2 back than thomas jones, michael bennett, or alstott, ya know? and warner is the best bait i have. but his stock is low now. i'm not going to lose edge for LT, why bother? that doesn't give me 2 backs. i have to make something happen.

1 QB/2 RB/2 WR yardage & TD's

warner
edge
jones
holt
price

there's my key starters

backing up are:
testeverde (weinke was my draft, and vinny was the best FA at the time)
bennett
alstott
derrick mason
burress

chargers and bucs D's, which can actually be helpful in a trade, maybe. do you agree i need another back, and that WR's and warner is what i can offer? man, i hope kurt has a good week this sunday.

this guy has faulk, LT, tiki, and deshaun foster. culpepper and couch are his QB's, and he's playing couch this week. his WR's are moss, driver, keyshawn, and joey galloway.

Well it seems you really need edge in your RB position, your rival has good depth at RB and lacks WR depth, you are strong in the receiving crew. You might trade a defense but wait until week 8 when new england returns from the bye or if you can retain SD and give NE for a good back do so, its better to lose the D, than warner. also at the QB position I think you need another backup. I would try to trade but after tomorrows game, cause the Rams cant go lower than what they are now. And you might regret trading Warner, I know you get Culpepper but for Warner you should get a better QB and RB combo cause you are giving also a good receiver. So the best thing is wait for the trade I think your team looks good to beat this guy tomorrow. And you can make a more analyzed trade not only with this guy but with other owners on your league, and try with the D. Warner might take off tomorrow.

i will pray for a huge day from warner, and work out a few scenarios...i'm definitely not taking him up on his counter, especially considering he's in my division and a game up. i'm 1-1-1. if warner wouldn't have thrown 4 picks, i'd be right behind him.

thanks.

I am sorry for the new england D, you have tampa! thats greater!
what you can do is trade the san diego D + a good WR for a RB (good one) and if you can add better backup QB for the trade that might do the deal, check also if Barlow, Davenport, Lamont Jordan, Foster and Moe Williams are available in the FA pool, one might be so you can add to the offer or for the keeps. cause you cant wait.
Tampas defense over the years has dominated so is a good guarantee if you keep them, plus you dont worry till week 10 and you might pick during the period another defense that improves its numbers.

your first offer was a good one, considering you would have gotten a #1 back for price, (alstott almost never starts in any league) and swapping QB's. i agree, you shouldnt even consider his counter offer. since you know that he is interested in trading LT, try and rework your offer with different players, because you really need backs. warner's value may go up after this game with dallas, this may be what they need to get their offense going. you may wait and see after this week to see where kurt stands before making a move.
