Worst Trade of the year.... ruins league?

Postby devius » Wed Sep 21, 2005 11:43 am

ok..in my semi-big money league, there's a trade pending that is just very very skewed. at least in my opinion. here it is....ready?!? D.Davis for K. McCardell :-t :-t :-t im currently the only 2-0 team in the league. and the guy trading for D.Davis is 0-2. do i have the right to put up a fit if this goes through?

1. that's not horrifically bad...don't get me wrong, it's bad...but I've seen absolutely much worse. Usually they're public league freebies though.
2. does the guy NEED DDavis or did he just find a sucker owner who's lining his already stuffed RB pockets?

Is the league PPR? If so I would Veto it. It also depends If the guy is just stupid or if he is trying to dish his good players away to another team so they have a shot at beating you.

Don't assume one or the other. Find out first then react. ;-D

Thats not even vetoable. You are over reacating in a big way....

Try this one. This is bad.

Shaun Alexander and Larry Fitzgerald

for

LJ / Drew Bennett/ Marcus Robinson / Stokeley

That just went down in our league. No $$ but lots of braggin rights between friends.

Depends on the other players on the rosters. That does not sound that bad, but if 1 needed a RB and the other a WR then there is no reason at all. A veto should be used sparingly(sp) not just because you don't like the trade and it affects your chances of winning

This doesn't ruin your league. Don't veto it.

In all of these cases you simply need to talk to the owner who appears to be making the bad trade. If they can put up an argument (not even a good one) as to why this will benefit their team it should pass.

The Veto is only for collusion in my opinion.

Just by reading the Cafe you must know that people's values differ greatly and he might think DD is going down this year (which I agree with, but not as strongly as he does).

my two cents.

This is the definition of buy low, sell high. This trade is not that bad.
