What's the deal with the Chicago Offense?

I picked up Cincy D to pit against them for week 3, but how were they able to score 38 points against a decent Vikings D? Was it just Daunte's turnovers or was their offense actually grooving really well? I know I shouldn't be concerned since they had single digit points against WAS but you never know

I think you may be confused.

CIN played MIN.

CHI played DET.

CHI's offense is average at best - especially with a QB under center with two full games under his belt.

edit - maybe Im the one confused - it wouldnt be the first time.

I think the tone of your post is whether or not CIN is a good play against CHI - and Id say that they are a good play against CHI.

Dick Jauron & the Pussycats D? I think that soft secondary cover schemes with unimaginative blitz packages, the D-line parting like the Red Sea and pathetic LB play might have had a little to do with the #$%&*Bears scoring at will.

Just a guess though.

One of the Bears TDs was a punt return and another an INT return by the defense. The Lions defense decided to take the day off and Harrington was very helpful in giving the Bears good field position. I sure wouldn't expect the Bears to come anywhere near 38 points again though it would be nice.

I think the Bears will be able to run on Cincy. If Orton can just keep the secondary honest, TJ should have a good day.

I have both the Cincy and Chicago D's in one league, and I'm probably gonna start Cincy because I don't think Orton can keep 'em honest. Cincy's leading the NFL in INTs through week 2, and has gotten a lot of takeaways ever since Lewis got the gig in the Queen City. (man knows a thing or two about Defense). I hate to bench the Bears after they pretty much saved my a** in Week 2, but you gotta play the matchups, and the Bungles Offense is clickin' right now.

I think Cincy's defensive #'s are a little inflated...considering C-Pepp practically placed the ball in their hands last week...I'm not saying they're horrible, but they've only played CLE and MIN...I'm curious to see how the defense does agianst a decent offense, but have you checked out their schedule this year?

10/2- vs. HOU
10/9-@ JAX
10/16-@ TEN
10-23- vs PIT
10/30- vs GB

The only decent defense that have to face over the next 5 weeks is PIT and JAX! Their defense should have a field day against HOU, TEN, and GB! Nobody wanted to touch them during our draft and I ended up with CIN and TB. Can't play them this week because I'm starting T. Jones and I just can't put in a defense against my starting RB!
