Hey guys, I need some help from those who are famaliar with Candlestick. I will be forced to ride along with my night-owl coworkers and won't be arriving in SF until eleven, or twelve if the dorks decide to eat. The game begins at one. We will have some friend in our company that has bad knees and I am worried about parking and walking.

My boss has told me he has always parked in some church parking lot and then walks quite a distance. Our bad knee friend has a handicap pass but my boss says by the time we get there, stadium parking will be closed, even if you have a pass.

Anyway, I am trying to shorten the walk as much as I can for our friend. Can I get some suggestions? Thanks.

I've never had a problem parkin at the stadium. Get there early.

And bring warm clothes. With the wind, it can get cold. Particularly if you're in a shady section.

I've frozen my ass off there for Giants games, in July!

In addition to the main lot, there are a couple dirt lots next to the stadium. I don't think your going to have much luck getting a close parking space getting there so late. Try to convince them to get there earlier if you can.

when you pull in show them the placard and see if they wont let you in to the handicap parking. There is a ton of spaces reserved (by law they have to). Dress warm. Even on a Sunny nice day its cold and windy. I recomend layering. HAVE FUN!

Agreed about arriving earlier if at all possible.

Parking never runs out at Niner games because they have huge dirt lots outside the stadium parking lot, but they are quite a distance for a handicap to make it to the stadium.. Not familiar with special parking for handicaps, but I would give it a shot.

Thanks for the 411, guys. I do plan on calling the stadium but I wanted to get some feedback from someone who's been there before. Customer service isn't always a reliable source, though it should be, and you guys have always been awesome. Thanks ^_^
