Oh dear... I knew this would happen once we got into pre-WWII questions. :-o

You're right about the year and the city, of course (interesting to think about today, isn't it?), but the reference I checked this with gives different team colors. What source did you use?

No trouble - this kind of question is interesting.

I checked several sources, and after finding my original thoughts confirmed by the Hall of Fame, among others, I'll stick by the original answer. I assume the reference you give may be talking about original helmet colors (that's just a guess, though).
