Warner down, need QB help

Postby SilverBullet » Mon Sep 30, 2002 1:00 pm

Now that Warner is gone for a few weeks, I need to find a new starting QB. Scoring for QBs: 1 pt for 20 yds passing, 6 pts TD, -3 pts INT, 0.5 points per completion. I have Tim Couch, but he didn't do too well last week. The best free agent QB available is Brad Johnson, but I could also pick up Jamie Martin. Any ideas?

How about Trent Green. Seems like he is finally overcoming his INT problems, and looked like a Young Montana yesterday? Is he avail?

if those are your choices then go with brad johnson i know hes not the best but hes slowly been getting better as the year is progressing and hes certainly better than jaime martin.

also keep you r eye on tommy maddox in pittsburgh he look sharp when leading them to victory against the browns so he might take kordells job for good

Johnson is an OK QB,getting workmanlike #'s as his D keeps him in games.Martin is untested(10yrs. as back-up tho)but he's starting,& he still has the weapons around him.Faulk & Holt get 100 yds recieving almost every week. The potential for Martin to have a big game is there.

Warner now out for 8 to 10 weeks. I'd grab brad and play him OR couch as you see fit. Martin makes for an interesting pick up too.

I agree with Waterboy, the latest report now said Warner would be out 8-10 weeks so I would get Brad Johnson. He is not going to break any scoring records but he won't hurt you either.

Pick up Martin. He has way more upside than johnson and you already have couch who is not bad. PLay the matchups between martin and couch
