What is up with Peyton?

Biased Manning owner here.

There is no way that I believe that INDY is intentionally scoring low/running and keeping their defense off of the field.

I do believe that the past 2 defenses had game planned effectively enough that limited Manning's production.

If Indy's coordinators believed that they could do anything they wanted on offense, of course they would throw for quick TDs. They would do this in the first quarter/half and then switch to this grind it out game to save the defense's energy. It would also make the offense and defense much more manageable.

IMO if Indy had this year's D on last years team, it would have been murder. Teams having to pass for the majority of the game makes them one dimensional.

I hope you're right, Kensat, b/c I just bought him for Hasselbeck and TJones. Low enough?[/quote]

near ditto ... McNair & Tjones. Figure one or both of the guys I'm giving won't be starting by the playoffs anyway ...

I would drop him. If you are lucky you might find Bledsoe on the wire.

You don't drop Peyton Manning... for god's sake, at least try to trade him away if you want him gone that bad, but don't drop him... :-P

what's so different about this years team? offense is almost completely the same besides Pollard. the difference is they're playing to win the SB not the single season TD record. i don't think they're intentionally scoring low but they're definitely playing alot safer with alot more ball control.

manning will never ever ever never never never throw for close to 50 td's again... ever... people who won with him last year did because they got him in the middle to end of the second round to pair with a stud RB. this year all you guys who took him at 1.1, 1.2, etc are looking at guys like A. Green, S. Jackson, Jordan etc for a #1 RB and that isn't gonna cut it. that is ofcourse unless you're in an 8 team or free yahoo league in which you don't count anyways.

He's no longer a gurantee start, it'll have to go match up to match up.
Here's what he's got in front of him:
Bench him @ Tennessee Titans
Start him!!!! @ San Francisco 49ers
Start him vs ST. LOUIS RAMS
Start him!!!!! @ Houston Texans
BYE
Bench him @ New England Patriots
Start him!!! vs HOUSTON TEXANS
Start him @ Cincinnati Bengals unless Cincy's D is for real
Bench him vs PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Look for another 13 to something day vs TENNESSEE TITANS
Bench him @ Jacksonville Jaguars
probably not good numbers vs SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
Start himi!!!!!! @ Seattle Seahawks
START HIM!!!! vs ARIZONA CARDINALS

So of the 13 remaining games, I will be benching him 4 times (theoretically)
Thing about benching Peyton is when you do, you know he's gonna go off. and then you put him back in the next week and he sucks, though the colts do just enough to win. Good for Indy, bad for Fantasy. So no one is actually calling for his head except for Fantasy owners :-t

why would you bench him vs Tennessee??

let me bring this up for some people :-B
Patrick Surtain the best DB in the NFL.....period!
