Bruce: Injured; Curtis: Will Be Big

Curtis.

Favre is talking like they will be taking less chances with this sub-par Packer team. That probably means more ball control and high percentage passes, which would tend to limit Ferguson's opportunities.

The '2nd or 3rd Greatest Show on Turf' tends to throw first.

THE NEWS
Rams wideout Isaac Bruce is listed as doubtful on the team's injury report and didn't practice on Wednesday because of a toe injury he suffered last week. Head coach Mike Martz hasn't ruled Bruce out of this week's contest with the Giants and said the wideout doesn't need to practice this week to play on Sunday. "It's kind of how he feels," Martz told the team's website. "The capsule was not torn. There was nothing torn, just swollen. We'll just see where he is. Now Isaac could line up on Sunday and play without…it's just where he is. We're not going to worry about it right now."
Our View
It looks like Bruce is shaping up to be a game-time decision this week unless the toe heals quickly and he can get back on the practice field. If he doesn't play, Kevin Curtis will be promoted to the starting lineup and see his fantasy value rise.

It looks like Bruce may miss a game but long term it's not torn so it doesn't look like Curtis value will stay high for long.

I just picked up Curtis but I keep having this nagging feeling that I should get Troy Williamson instead because he'll probably produce all year while Curtis may just be short term.

Even with Bruce, Curtis has done a nice job of producing. He's a nice pick-up either way because he will get some long TDs this season.

I think if Bruce misses any sort of time it would be McDonald that would see his value rise more than Curtis.

With the Rams using 3WR very often in their plays I can see Curtis remaining in the slot, that would bring McDonald to step into Bruce's position.

I could be very wrong here, but if ya can't get Curtis and have a spare spot on your bench, Shaun McDonald just may be worth a shot.

The giants secondary has been horrible this year, so if bruce doesn't play curtis will have a big game.

From the Ram's replays I've been watching, it seems like McDonald has slid down into a competition for the #4 WR slot with Dane Looker (#3 WR after Bruce injury)?!?! Seriously, these two guys are seeing even amounts of time on the field right now, possibly because McDonald is concentrating more on special teams.. He returns punts, plays punt coverage, and kickoff coverage if I'm not mistaken.

Don't be mistaken here, Kevin Curtis is going to benefit the most from an Isaac Bruce injury.... And someone has to catch those yards when Marc Bulger passes for 250-300 every game. Curtis will be an every week starter in your lineup until Bruce comes back 100% IMO.

Fergueson is a nice WW pickup, but Curtis is a waiver wire GEM. This is the type of player you look for when you hold off on drafting WRs before the season, a player that you can grab as a FA and make a difference for your team.
