HUGE Jets trade rumor!

Postby benm3218 » Tue Sep 27, 2005 9:11 am

I have a HUGE HUGE insider scoop for you from Nashville radio. A caller to the show has a friend in New York in the Jets organization. This is not official.

Feidler is supposedly done for the year, and this will be announced today.

It appears though that, the Jets want Volek very bad. Volek is a great QB, I would argue he knows Hiemerdingers offense better than Pennington right now. Volek is smart, has a great deep ball, something Jets NEED very bad.

Heimerdinger wants Volek BAD. Rosenhaus is involved as well. With Travis Henrys suspension more money was freed up for Titan's for short term.

With this being Curtis Martin and Abrahams last year with the Jets, they need to make a good year of this, it is too early to give up on season.

They will sign Doug Johnson, then take a few days to complete a trade with TN for Volek. Then ship Johnson back to TN as the number 2.
To add to the rumor, Matt Mauck(spelling?) from our practice squad did not go to New York to tryout and stayed in Nashville for unknown reasons. **could be he was asked to stay???**

So it could be Volek to New York and Johnson to TN.........

I assume the Jets will add a draft pick. Right?

Sorry, but I don't think this qualifies as HUGE.

Volek may or may not be a nice fit with the Jets. Either way, though, I won't be the one snagging him off the WW until I see him follow through with production.

Volek's not that bad...he can sure throw some bombs...it was fun to watch him play last year when McNair went down. He pretty much helped Drew Bennett shine in TEN last year.
Doesn't it suck to get beat at Fantasy Football...by a girl?

whoa.

Thats a hefty price to pay for Volek IMO.

But then again, the J-E-T-S are in panick mode (as well they should be), so Id assume TEN is going to bend them over. !+)

Folks I know I am a homer. But, Volek is more than not bad. He is very good. He would be our next QB. Trust me, with all the money we will have coming up next year, we wouldn't have signed him and want him as our number 1 if he wasnt good. He is a great QB, but the REAL key is he knows Heimerdingers offense completely.

i think he could fit very well with the jets. coles is the type of guy he likes throwing to and he is familiar with mccareins already. but i think a 1 and a 2 is overpaying a bit. but i guess desperate times call for desperat measures. if fielder is in fact done they jets are in some real deep trouble.

Thats the real cliff hanger on this deal. Will Jets give up a first round pick for Volek??? Cause Titans won't give him up for less, he is our next QB.

If he gets the job, Coles value will sky rocket.
