i would seriously doubt ATL would trade him. with vick always being an injury possibility and just how awful they were two seasons ago when he did go down i'd find even more unlikley then volek going.
According to several Jets sources Birmingham's Dr. James Andrews, after examining injured QB Chad Pennington, did not believe he blew out his shoulder again although an MRI was inconclusive. The plan for now is to let Pennington rest for 10 days to two weeks and then have him re-examined. In the meantime, the Jets doctors and team officials will reconvene Wednesday with the new information and make a determination, but as of now the Jets do not plan to put him on IR.

Jets are not getting Volek...they just signed him this off season to a new 4 year deal and is there QB of the future.
I thought Ramsey was a good possibility but heard the Jets were rebuffed by the skins. If Gibbs is so high on the kid Campbell from Auburn then why would they not try and move Ramsey who is obviously does not like.
Titans | Jets did not Call about Volek Tue, 27 Sep 2005 22:44:37 -0700
The Nashville City Paper reports Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese said Tuesday, Sept. 27, he never heard from the New York Jets regarding the potential availability of Titans' QB Billy Volek via trade. "I never heard from them, and I'm not really sure I ever expected to," Reese said of potential trade talks. "It all happened so quickly that I think they pretty much decided that Vinny was their guy." Volek's agent Drew Rosenhaus issued a stern, "No comment," when asked if the Jets had contacted Tennessee about his client.
Sounds like the original poster got some bad info.

Wow, that's big news. Did ya post this in the injury forum? It needs to be.
