I really think Anthony Thomas was as good as Jones. He was playing on teams with worse O lines and still putting up good numbers. But no one is as good as Walter was. Few cities have had RBs like that. That's why we've pretty much sucked for a long time... blew all of our Karma on the 85 D and Payton. :) And we'd do it again.

Considering Tjones hasn't made it through one year as the feature back without an injury I don't think that's much of a stretch.

It's something that has been said around here for a while. He's a dude with talent, that never seems to pan out. This year could be different. But wtf, every year COULD be different.

Its because he played in ARI 3-5 years ago and thats the guy Kensat remembers. Kensat has held a longtime infatuation with TJ and this is his way of showing affection. :-b

Let me add - pretty much it comes down to 2 lines of reasoning:

some people think talent dictates performance.
some people place more emphasis on situation.

Has TJ gotten that much better every yr since he entered the league - or has his statistical improvements been disctated by the teams he was on? To me and a lot of other people its really not that hard of a call.

Kensat knows Im giving him a hard time about this - this isnt a new subject.

Neal Anderson was a great back, just short-lived due to injury.

Q: When will Benson take over?
A: When Thomas Jones' contract is up, or a serious injury occurs.

once benson is able to pick up blitzs in the passing game and knows the playbook well enough he will get as many carries as tj.

thats really up too benson though. i don't think this has much to do with tj playing well or not. once benson is ready the bears are going to use him.

eack week benson is going to get more and more carries and eventually its going to be a fullout rbbc.

i'd say by week 6 rbbc.

chi o-line is one of the best in the league so who ever the rb that is in there will put up good numbers.

there both talented rbs; so both will play. the coaching staff will use each on plays there better suited for.
