Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this. NE's depleted but tough, and SD bounced back last week after looking piss poor the first two weeks. What do you think?
I think the Pats will win a close one, but I sure hope LT2 has a good game.
"Sometime during the Pats game last week, I decided that Tomlinson was the best overall running back of my lifetime. There's nothing he can't do: deadly receiver, tough inside runner, explosive to the outside, you name it." - ESPN's Bill Simmons
In order for the Chargers to win, they are going to have to play pretty flawless offense, but absolutely flawless defense. There was little to no pass rush against Eli last week and if that doesn't happen this week, Brady is going to kill us! I'm curious to see what kind of offensive scheme Cam Cameron comes up with for NE...if SD does win, it'll be big since we've got PIT on Monday night the next week!
Doesn't it suck to get beat at Fantasy Football...by a girl?
I'm picking SD in a very close one.... I think the loss of Rodney Harrison has much further reaching impact than just his play on the field... He was their team leader on defense, and it's got to be disheartening to lose him for the year.... Aside from that, SD is pretty much in a must-win situation with the schedule they've got over the next few weeks.... If they drop to 1-3, they can pretty much kiss a playoff berth good-bye in the AFC....
Right now, I'm going to call it like this in the AFC:
North - Pittsburgh
South - Indianapolis
East - New England
West - Kansas City
WC1 - Cincinnati
Leaving San Diego competing with the following teams for that #2 Wild Card spot - Oakland, Denver, Miami, Jacksonville....
If they drop to 1-3, with Pittsburgh, Oakland, KC, and Philly as their next 4 opponents, they can pretty much call it quits, trade Drew Brees to the Jets, and start planning for next year....
Pats will win. It's just a gut feeling, but I think the Pats are all done losing this season. They'll go 13-0 through the end of the regular season now, and win the Super Bowl. Which, of course, they wouldn't have done if Chad Pennington hadn't gone down. If Chad were still healthy, the Jets would have won the Super Bowl, easily. 45-3 over the Eagles.
