In the strongest indication yet that Michael Vick will not require surgery, team orthopedist Dr. Andrew Bishop on Wednesday removed the QB's foot from a fiberglass cast. In place of the rigid cast is a removable and more flexible "walking cast," one that should allow Vick more freedom, and perhaps permit him to increase his level of activity. It now is "very unlikely," Bishop said, that Vick will need surgery.
