Everybody in the NFL is getting blitzed like crazy, from all over the field. Safeties and cornerbacks are gonna break positional sack records all over the place this year. It's all in reaction to the "illegal contact" rule enforced last year, defenses have learned that you have to pressure the passer, rather than trying to cover the WR...
It was stated in a few threads this offseason that whenever a new rule comes into effect and there is a boost in offensive production that year, the following year for whatever reason offenses come back to Earth. It turns out, that this year the blitz is on. In hindsight, it was hard to NOT see this coming. The success BLITZburgh saw last year as the #1 overall defense in yards and points allowed, Peyton breaking the TD and passer rating record, Culpepper breaking the total yardage record, numerous QBs over 4,000 yards and 30 TDs.. Something had to be done on the defensive side of the ball.

The thing with Peyton though, is that he thrives when you blitz him. Last year people tried to blitz him to get his timing off, because the theory was that you can't cover the unstoppable offense of Harrison/Wayne/Stokely/Clark/Pollard/Edge with Manning leading the way audibling at the line, etc. that was, until the Patriot's came along in the playoffs and showed the NFL that all you have to do against Peyton is drop men into coverage and force them to run on you.
NFL defenses are doing the exact OPPOSITE to Peyton compared to what they're doing against other teams. No one is blitzing Indy, and only Indy. Teams have SPECIAL DEFENSES JUST FOR INDY. Peyton's not getting pressured very much, there is simply no one open down the field because teams are dropping men deep.
Against Cleveland he completed basically every single pass he threw, something like 23 for 25? Except they were all underneath passes thrown short. His lone interception of the day came when he tried to force the ball downfield to Marvin Harrison. Harrison was triple covered on the play..
Know why Stokely hasn't been heard from at all this season? There's no more blown coverages because teams are playing the Colt's 3 Deep. And as long as D's keep playing back, and the Colt's keep winning, I don't see any reason why Peyton will improve his fantasy numbers in leaps and bounds. In fact, he may have THE WORST SEASON OF HIS CAREER STATISTICALLY (but a nice record and home field in the playoffs).

Hit the nail on the head Kensat...and as long as it continues to "work" (Indy's 3-0 after all) opposing Defenses are gonna rush 3, maybe 4, and drop the rest into coverage.
Don't blame Peyton, blame Belicheck and Crennel. It was their idea.
