Duce is asking for more time..Should FW owners be worried?

Postby houstonoilers » Wed Sep 28, 2005 12:10 pm

I am really nervous because I traded my number one draft pick, Jamal, for him and now I think I screwed up. I thought Duce was fine with FW getting the lead role and now he is crying about more playing time. This has to be the biggest RBBC year ever in the National Football League.......geeeez.

*dreams of a scenario where Duce is traded and becomes the #1 RB on another team...*

You seriously traded JLew for FWP stright up?

All the warnings and discussions about how this will probably end up turning into a RBBC in PIT - did you not believe them? When half the cafe said he was their biggest sell high candidate possible you went out and traded for him - and worse yet - you gave up one of the biggest buy low candidates to do it?

Trading Jamal for Willie Parker was a mistake.

Jamal has proven that he's good (see 2000 yard season). Willie is green.

I know I am a crack head.....I still am not sold on Jlewis though. I dont think he is going to run all over the Jets D. I just have to bite the bullet and see.

I know that isn't the only reason why you traded him was because he wasn't going to run all over the jets. But considering the posts before yours its almost comical to put your post in that frame of reference.

I'm more worried about Bettis at the GL then Staley taking 3rd downs.

To somewhat of a defense. I got slaughterd in the first two weeks and I had Portis and Jamal with the same damn bye weeks for week 3. I know I pulled the trigger to early and feared going 0-3 and now I am on tilt. I can just hope and wish that Duce gets traded which I know wont happen. Does his stock have any value still or just sit?

Duce wishes he could get more playing time BEHIND Willie Parker. Too bad he's not half the RB Parker is.

This is not the first time someone has lost their job due to injury in the NFL people. Willie Parker is the starting Pittsburgh RB for good... the guy is a stud.

Give Staley 5 or 10 carries in games where Pitt runs the ball more than 30 times.. Sit Haynes down on the bench, whatever. He will have no effect on Parker IMO.

Trading Jamal may or may not have been a mistake, but you certainly didn't sell him low IMO. Parker has just as much chance to rush for 2,000 yards THIS season as Jamal...
