While I agree, Staley will have little/no effect on Parker, there's still the Bettis issue, and I think that one is real.

I still see this group as a RBBC.

- Parker getting good 1st and 2nd downs.

- Staley getting 3rd downs and being the "change of pace" back

- Bettis getting goalline carries and your 3rd/4th and inches.

Verron Haynes will sit and maybe see some garbage time.

Having said that, the Lewis for Parker trade was awful. But the bright side of this is, you will never lose faith in your studs so quickly again.

this is true. I still think there is a possibility that Chester sneaks in and does more damage than Duce does.

clearly - I mean of course the undrafted FWP is much much better than Staley - considering how he absolutely tore up such defensive juggernauts as HOU and TEN with literally no competition from Duce and Bettis - how can anyone think that isnt enough of a resume to jump to that conclusion?

If you didnt already sell FWP, it will be too late this Sunday - his pricetag will drop tremendously.

To date FWP is the biggest example of Hype in the 2005 fantasy football season.

why? is the bye week going to eat him up and expose him as a fraud? i don't think it will drop that much until after bettis comes back. and even then, he'll still be a solid fantasy running back.

i think the jury is still out on jamal lewis and that raven offense. (please excuse the jury pun)

I agree he'll be a solid RB - just like Dunn was a solid RB last yr. Fantasy wise - he wasnt much more than a poor #2 at best, but he sure was a nice RB for ATL. I can see HypedWP having similar value.

I guess I was wrong about his trade value too - I apologize. It was after week 2 that you should have traded him - his value has already started to drop after the NE game.

Dumb move man. I have Jamal also and I'm ready to trade him away as well but it's a tough situation right now since his value is so low. Why don't you just turn around and trade Parker for a different back? I'm sure someone with Bettis or Staley would have a little bit of interest at least...

Please don't start this same tired arguement again. Everyone has there own opinion about FWP and no one will know who is right until sometime near the end of the year (even though people who think like you are very wrong and will see this hopefully sometime soon). Let me just take a guess, you probably said the same things about McGahee last year right? This is a very simular situation.

Not really. McGahee was a 1st rd draft pick and BUF didnt have a RBBC. Id say those 2 things alone are massive differences in their situations since HWP was undrafted and PIT has a goalline specialist and a 3rd down specialist.

What does being a 1st round pick have anything to do with it? Are you saying you have to be a first round pick to be a good back? Both of these things you bring up are not even really the point. The point is that both RB were competing with previous starting backs. Just like McGahee, FWP will probably take away the starting spot from the previous starter and will remain the starter. I am not going to go into much more since this issue has been beat to death already several times over. All we can do is wait and see and then say I told you so.
