Keep faith in Martin. When teams play before a regular Sunday of the season opener, they get all hyped up, meaning they will usually play better than ever. Plus, he is the Jets main guy right now, so of course the Skins D would focus on him and shut him down. Last year, he managed to post respectable numbers even tho he played through the whole season with injuries. (both ankles) So dont give up on Martin.
I agree with people who are saying not to abandon C-Mart yet. If 1,000 yards and 8TD's is what your looking for out of him, hold your horses. There is a big deal made about this 1,000 yard plateau by everyone. I say big frickin deal. That's only 62.5 yards per game. I think people forget that 1,000 yards is really not that much when you look at it on a by-game average. He got that with 2 bad ankles last year. Barring injury that keeps him from substantial game time, he'll get it again this year.
Also, to get 8 TD's he only has to score 1 time for every 2 games. Although he doesn't get the goalline carries anymore, this is still possible.
Let's also not forget he was running against Arrington, Trotter, and Armstead.
I think if you are in a league that uses TD's and yardage, he is still a serviceable backup, not a starter. In a TD heavy league, I'd drop him for Jordan or a Moe Williams, or Crockett.
Disclosure: I own Martin in one of my two money leagues but also have Portis, S. Davis, D. Staley and Betts.

what were Lamont Jordans #s minus the one TD......nuff said.
Curtis Martin = 6 pts Lamont Jordan = 10 pts
Those are the only #'s that matter.
If you only look at stats you won't be very successful. It's not just the points that matter, it's potential. I don't mean potential to become good, I mean potential to have big games. C-mart had 15 carries, LaMont had 6 carries. Martin had 48 yards, Jordan had 0.
Sure Jordan will get the goal line carries, but C-Mart's value is still higher than people think. He will probably get 2-3 times as many carries as LaMont.
