Is it smart to start your QB against your own defense??

If you play the Philly defense, then they are bound to shut down Trent Green.

If you play Trent Green, he'll explode against the Philly D.

Choose your best options. If that turns out to be Green and Philadelphia, so be it. Hope for the best. I wouldn't start an inferior QB or defense because of it.

yeah, maybe hope for a ton of yards but few points, and a bunch of fumbles by the running back. Or 1 INT that gets returned for a TD. Always go with your best options, it's the safest play. It's even possible that both do really well.

It depends....in my league, we can only lose a max. of 4 pts for points allowed. I wouldn't be afraid of losing that if Green was my best option at QB and Phili was it for D . So it really wouldn't hurt that much if Phili gets some turnovers and sacs.(in my league that is)

If Green throws 3 TDs this Sunday, you'll be happy.
If he throws 3 INT's, you'll still be happy.

Priest 3 rushing TDs, LJ 1 rushing TD in 31-28 Chiefs victory. That's the biggest fear.

But still, don't let it affect you. Unless you've got Tampa D and Bulger waiting in the wings or something.

I asked this same question last week. I had Collins and was up against my Philly D. Somebody here said it was "bad karma" so i listened and looked at the Plindsey rankings and picked up Dallas. Dallas actually did BETTER then my Philly D, so you MIGHT want to think about it. Later!
