A few other things that puzzled me are....

Why is Quarantine labled on the inside of the hatch?

What was Jin yelling in Korean in the week 3 teaser at the beach when the people are chasing him.

Think there is anyway that the guy that was in the mental institution with Hurley that muttered the numbers was once locked down there?

I was thinking the same thing. My one friend is all about Lost and all its craziness. I guess everyones name has a meaning too....but to further go on to Hurley...

My friend was saying that in season one when Hurley was going over the list w/ the passengers on the plane he asked something to the effect of "what did one snowman say to the other" which is the same thing that the guy in the hatch asked Locke after Locke said he was the guy he was looking for....

I guess the number 23 is also supposed to have the most significance

On to the mural....too bad its so dark

well 108 appears again, the number that the counter reset to. It appears to be in the sun, or perhaps thats an explosion? Maybe if the timer runs out something blows up?


The numbers 16 and 42 are clear

It appears that it says "out" diagonally in the middle by the arrow looking thing (an exit?)

There are several fish on it. References to the shark perhaps?

Theres obviously a face on it.

On the top middle/left there are 2 stick figures on what could be a wave (the blue archy looking things). To me it almost looks like the smaller one is reaching for the bigger one (Walt and Michael?)

The right side is much hard to see. But it looks like there is an eye kind of under the number 42 and a fish.

Glad to see you guys are so into the show! On cnn.com, they usually have a link at the bottom to Entertainment Weekly and they have a recap of the show along with a posting forum. These people are masters of Tivo and there's a discussion about the mural. Did anyone notice the candy's name "Apollo"? Kinda weird that the 108 is in the middle of the sun too. There was also some talk about the countdown and how it reset to 108. The term someone used was "Dead-man's-switch" or something along those lines...it's like a self-destruct mechanism that goes off when the person isn't around to enter in the number code to reset the countdown. Just throwing around ideas...there's some interesting links too in the EW forum.

I was kinda pissed that the 2nd episode was basically the first episode from different view points.

Did you also notice that the sharks had the same emblem on their tailfins that was on the hatch?

108 is how many seasons they are going to stretch a one season show into before finally giving us some extremely lame and dissappointing ending. But it really does kick all forms of a**.

so on this one, you can see a white face AND a black face

The "eye" on the right also spells out "eye + m + sick" so "Im sick"

Also on the arrow thing, it looks like it says "This" on it, but its really tough to tell and all the letters could be different...i dont know

The other thing i have been thinkig about is when Desmond asked Locke if he was him and Locke responded yes. He then asked him "what did one snowman say to the other snowman"
Hurley told that Joke to Charlie(i think it was him at least) in the first season.
Hurley also knows about the numbers, could Hurley be "him"?
