Garcia owners beware. . .

A Chicago sports radio station placed a $500 bounty on "the head" of SF QB Jeff Garcia today for any Bear player that knocks him out of the game. All in jest? It was during an interview with Greg Blache, D Coord., who said all the right things to poo-poo it. Now, they've done it, though; now the Bears will be motivated. Watch out Garcia, watch out.

Motivated or not, the Bears D still sucks - and I'm a Bears fan.

Who is going to rush Garcia with Colvin and Washington in NE? The Niners will get to Urlacher and keep him in check.

Like $500 is anything more than pocket change for these fellas anyway. The get paid MILLIONS to kill qb's, why all of a sudden is $500 going to be some huge motivation?.......gimme a break.

I have a feeling half the LBs and DEs in the league are trying to kill QBs on every play anyhow, $500 or no $500. Trying to hurt him? Doubt it, but they want to hit them as hard as they can everytime they get a chance I'm sure. Just to ring his bell and get him thinking about you next time he drops back to pass. Will be interesting to see if the radio station comes trough with the $500 if Garcia does get knocked out though.

I certainly have a long history of overthinking my fantasy teams over the years ...

... but as soon as I start making decisions based on sports radio "personalities" and morning zoos, then I'm giving up fantasy sports cold-turkey.
... in my opinion, of course - but that should always go without saying.

Yeah, $500 is pretty much nothing to even their lowest paid players. It's also still the Cubs defense, which I don't see getting to Garcia unless they rush all 11 guys at once, and they still might not get to him.

When I've herd about players puttin up bounties it is in college and 500 bucks would be nice to have.

Sounds like a stupid radio stunt to me. They might have been kidding on the radio too... Most people can't listen to a radio host and think at the same time I have found. Neither would suprise me.

The bears won't be anymore motivated and Garica and Owens will torch them.
