I know this is Football History Blasphemy, but has anyone ever noticed that the shot doesn't show if the football has touched the ground? Who thinks it probably wouldn't be a reception with the replay these days?

Still, I love the history behind it and hearing the crowd go nuts when he catches it.

I don't believe it hit the ground. But if they had replay back then, with the rules as they WERE, it would have been overturned. But I heard somewhere that the refs didn't want to overturn it for fear of their life so maybe replay wouldn't have helped.
