Postby Josh Weed » Sat Sep 06, 2003 7:14 am

I thought it was going to be johnson, but now it looks like blaylock. What is the situation here, and should I pick up blaylock to back up priest, or do you guys think johnson will still be the guy if priest got hurt??

Priest's Backup

It looks like it will be Blaylock for at least week 1. Rookies have a tough time with blitz pickups sometimes. A little time watching will provide Johnson an opportunity to learn. He's a real talent, just give him some time.

Blaylock will be the backup but i would not reccomend picking either up. I dont think either would have an impact if prist went down.

My 2 cents

Larry Johnson will never develop into a top RB. He was overhyped from the beginning. His horrible preseason is a sign of things to come. Dont buy the hype.

Give me a break. If we don't believe "the hype" what and who do we believe.. You? I think Larry Johnson will be a very good back once he gets out of priests shadow(im guessing like 2 years from now). He's learning from the best.

Larry Johnson is from Penn State, therefore his pro prospects are dim. He will either reveal a lack of pro skills or a propensity for an endless string of injuries. Take him if you dare, those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. :-t
