Well, my answer will be a guy who is likely on waivers, since I'm sure most of the kickers who will be mentioned are surely gone.

Jason Hanson is a good pick this week; since the Lions face the even worse Cards. Hansen is pretty accurate and should get plenty of chances. To a lesser degree even Bill Gramatica. Playing week to week kicker and D matchups can give you a better overall score than an Akers or Tampa Bay D.

I guess I'll give a stupid answer and pimp my rookie K who is probably on your waiver wire. I had no idea who he was, but it was the 15th and final round and I needed a K, so I took Josh Brown for Seattle (must carry 2 K's - no more, no less).

He was 5-5 in the pre-season with a 52 yarder.

Good job, rook! Playing for what could be one of the higher scoring teams, he could be a top fantasy K. I wouldn't want him as my starter for now, but he'll come cheap if you need a back-up. He could be also be replaced by week 4. No guarantees with a rookie K drafted in the 7th round.

He's a name to keep an eye on if you really think you need to go in another direction in the K department.
