Fantasy Football TV content

Something I've noticed as of late is just how freaking BAD the FF content is on TV.

I think only recently (the last 2 years) Fantasy Football has really become mainstream. By mainstream I mean television advertisements up the wazoo. Previously it was something your friend got you into or it was a speakeasy type of thing. Now it seems like every sports affiliated company has some sort of game to pitch.

Anywho...ESPN, Directv, Foxsports..all of these guys sport some form of FF show. And man do they ever pitch the blatent and obvious..

"So who do you like to score big during week 1?"

"Oh absolutely Marvin Harrison. He's lead the league in catches.."

Yeah dude. We know.

It sucks that these shows cater to the newbie (not that there's anything wrong with you newbies..we were all there once) audience. It would just be nice to get some TV guy's comments on some more deeper/detailed issues. Particularly just so I have something to talk about with whomever's in the room...or so I can disagree to make myself feel smarter.

Spare me the same ol same ol "start Owens/Manning/Williams/Portis" crap.

Gimme something to chew on.

I have herd a few sleeper picks on a few shows. Pretty much worthless info though everywhere else on TV... agreed!

Once again we learn that the only place to find informative insightful ff info is the Café!
The TV posers are afraid to step out on a limb and deviate from the safe picks. So I’ll save you the trouble of tuning in, start Shockey over Kris Magnum!
