This may be old news to some, but I just saw this and am feeling great about stealing Vick in the 9th round of my draft...
Sep 6 - The Associated Press reports X-rays of Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick's (leg) right lef show that his prevented his talus, tibia or fibula from shifting. Now that he has cartilage growing around his ankle, Vick seems to have escaped surgery. Falcons team orthopedist Andrew Bishop removed his fiberglass cast Wednesday, Sept. 3 and placed Vick in a removable, walking cast. The earliest he could return is Oct. 5 against the Minnesota Vikings but he indicated that Week 6 at the St. Louis Rams or Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints seems more likely.
