Can someone explain to me why Larry johnson is getting reps?

KC's Ofense looks HORRIBLE with him in the game. They have looked great with Priest in there.

Just very frustrating to us priest owners.

1. Keep Priest fresh. Priest is old and injury-prone.
2. Last year and sometimes this year, he's looked good enough. A lot of it is the scheme and not really the back, IMO.

He's fumbled it twice in consecutive weeks in critical situations that led the other team to put points on the board.

He can't block worth a lick either.

Priest has been lights out today and LJ is just screwing up the KC offense.

Absolutely right BH. I think this double RB situation is hurting their offensive rhythm. I think losing Morton also messed them up because he was a good WR option that drew coverage.

And of course, the Roaf injury also could be causing problems.

At the end of the day, you have to look at everything and figure out what the problem is...something is obviously not working there. The problem is that they've never had to deal with this, and they might not know what to do. :-B

Alls I can read from the stats is that Priest is currently trailing LJ in Yards/Carry (it's the 4th Q now).

And to think, all the self-proclaimed geniuses were talking about how it was such a good plan to start LJ at the flex.

You're the Penn State fan, you shouldn't have any problem with it.

I think if you are a holmes owner (which I am), you are happy that LJ is screwing up. Vermeil? is going to figure out that RBBC does not work.

The question is, will Vermeil and his O-coord figure it out?

It seems to me that the problem is with the KC offense, not necessarily with either Holmes or L. Johnson, as both have excelled (overall) in previous weeks. Maybe opposing defenses have figured out how to game play for the RBBC situation or for L. Johonson better than they had before.

I think the situation is too simple to say that L. Johnson now "sucks" and that his seven (?) straight games with two touchdowns or more was just a consistently great performance by proven sucky player. ;-)

And, we should remember that LJ only gets the ball around 10 times a game; this does not allow for a great margin of error. Thus his mistakes will tend to be magnified.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm not an LJ apologist; I'm just trying to put his recent slump into perspective.
