Can someone explain to me why Larry johnson is getting reps?

It seems to me that the problem is with the KC offense, not necessarily with either Holmes or L. Johnson, as both have excelled (overall) in previous weeks. Maybe opposing defenses have figured out how to game play for the RBBC situation or for L. Johonson better than they had before.

I think the situation is too simple to say that L. Johnson now "sucks" and that his seven (?) straight games with two touchdowns or more was just a consistently great performance by proven sucky player.

And, we should remember that LJ only gets the ball around 10 times a game; this does not allow for a great margin of error. Thus his mistakes will tend to be magnified.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm not an LJ apologist; I'm just trying to put his recent slump into perspective.

It was 6 games, but yeah, most starting RBs right now can't say that for themselves.

Larry Johnson would obviously thrive in the starting role, but it just doesn't make sense to take Priest off the field when he has been more effective.
