Rackers-you know you're intrigued

I've been so high on this guy all preseason, drafting him in mocks/leagues and It's really paid off.

My question is, does he start carrying trade value?????
He is outproducing all other kickers by a landslide. Made 6 FGs tonite, and hasn't missed yet. Kicks with a huge leg, and if anyone saw that one preseason game where he hit the freaking crossbar of the field goal on a kickoff you'll know that his leg is no joke.

The Ari offense is good enough to move it and good enough to choke. With such a leg, he'll get more opportunities than most when facing a FG/punt choice.

So, would anyone trade him? I probably won't, but I think he has some legit value. In my league that has huge kicker scoring (6 pts for over 50 and 5 for over 40, etc) and kickers often outscore most positions as its a chiefly TD league I think I could swing a K for RB in a combo deal.

He made the crossbars twice tonight on kickoffs.

I got him as a free agent. He's singlehandedly assured me of 4-0. I WAS going to pick him up for Reed's bye week. Now I may pick Reed up for Rackers' bye, but this guy is going nowhere. It's sick to get this kind of production out of a position that is not expected to break double digits on a regular basis.

Kinda sucks though, kickers in my league aren't worth much... but he's still gotten me like 30 points thus far.

I just found him on waivers myself. Plus it seems as though Arizona is the perfect offense for him. I mean, its not like they're gonna score a whole lot of TD's anyways! They drive to the opponents 30/35, stall there, and let Rackers knock it through. Not exactly the Greatest Show on Turf, but it puts points on the board!
As for trade bait, I don't know how many people would be willing to pull the trigger knowing that a kicker is the centerpiece, regardless. But if he can help fill a hole, then by all means.

I grabbed him last week to cover for Reed , Rackers scored me 22 points, unbelievable. he aint' goin no where. I'll drop Larry Johnson before I drop Neil.

4 and 2 points?? It'll probably happen. Which is why I'm trying to see what people think. So far I've deduced that most are waay high on him, and rightfully so. Even so.. I would say that I am less high than most, and still consider it a gift every time he converts a FG. Its so hard to predict kickers from year to year, so perhaps Rackers has figured himself out and will be consistently good, but I doubt it.

I share in your enthusiasm since Rackers definitely offset some of my other flops this week. However, I am not as hyped as you.

I am not thinking trade bait or trying to shop him at all. He's a kicker, remember that. Opie or any of the other kickers can have huge days just like Rackers. Well, maybe not 6 long field goals, but 12-16 points.

Yes, life is good with Rackers, but don't kill yourself when Racker comes back to reality.
