Arizona: Expect the Cardinals to pull the trigger on a trade for Minnesota tailback Michael Bennett before the Oct. 18 deadline. Arizona has been talking to the Vikings about the deal, and coach Dennis Green reportedly wants Bennett to agree to a long-term contract with the Cardinals. Bennett is scheduled to become a free agent after this season.
Arizona wants Bennett and will offer him a chance to do well. Plus, he knows Green, who as Minnesota's coach drafted him in the first round in 2001. The day Green was fired, Bennett watched the coach's farewell news conference in tears.
Bennett doesn't fit in Minnesota anymore, and that's why all the Vikings want in return is a sixth-round draft choice. Bennett, a good change-of- pace back, has great speed.
Good for Bennett...bad for Shipp and Arrington owners (if there are any left). Not sure if Bennett will do any better there, but any new blood is goof for that offense.
Doesn't it suck to get beat at Fantasy Football...by a girl?
Thats interesting - I wonder what the logic behind it is. Isnt Bennett just an older JJ Arrington anyway? Also - Shipp looked pretty damn good last night - not sure they need another RB, especially signing one to a LT deal with the injury history Bennett has.
with Moe Williams currently injured and "possibly" coming back week 6 and Moore's tendency to acquire small injuries, what do people think about taking a flier on Fason if they have extra space on their roster?
I can see a case where Williams isn't fully healthy and Fason getting reps as the #2 back in week 6 and possibly tearing it up.
Also, what does this do to the value of Onterrio Smith in keeper leagues?

There is no logic to this. Personally I think Shipp is better than Bennett.
Bennett has no moves. He doesn't wait for the holes to open. he just runs as fast as he can and falls down if there isn't a hole to run through.
Denny Green has lost his mind. Although I guess a 6th round pick isn't much to give up.
I mean i know arrington has looked TERRIBLE.... but CMON you spent a very high 2nd rounder on a rookie who rushed for 2000 yards in a legit NCAA program.
Dont you think this guy deserves another chance later in the year or next year at least? If Denny locks up Bennett long term hes basically wasting that 2nd round pick... seems too early to give up to me.

Fason is the best back in that backfield.
do you think Fason will have a chance at all this year?
