Stallworth looking Solid

Postby CC » Sun Sep 07, 2003 8:44 pm

He looked pretty good this week despite being only probable (due to his hammy) prior to the game. Looked like Brooks gave him more looks than Horn and he got roughly 100 yds. He dropped a couple of passes or it could have been more, would have been helpful if i had started him over peerless though.

Yeah, I was a little hesitant starting him because of his hammy but it paid off.

I benched Stallworth this week and hopefully will not live to regret it. Instead I am starting Key Johnson tonight against TB.

You think Johnson can pull off better #'s than Stallworth did?

I think so. Stars do shine on MNF. Hopefully he backs up that big EGO of his.

But going back to the original post, Stallworth did have nice numbers. A TD would have been a great cap off. Hopefully he has a pair of those next week!

Ken Hamlin almost gave him another injury to think about.

POP...sent his helmet into orbit.

stallworth had 8 catches for 100 yards.
horn had 7 catches for 80 yards (and a td).

very close. but the real factor appears in joe horn's knee injury. stay tuned to that situation. he is listed as day-to-day right now.
