M. Faulk, what happened?

Postby neyd » Sun Sep 07, 2003 9:02 pm

I got stuck working today, didn't get a chance to watch the games. Man was I shock when I saw he only got me 8 points. Did he look bad, or was a warner to blame....?

Did anybody get a chance to watch the game. Please input.

Warner got rocked early then had a bunch of TO's( 6 fumbles / 1 INT), Marshall wasn't that involved (10 rush/ 7 rec) because of it.

M. Faulk, what happened

Yah I saw the turnovers on espn. sure hope this was a fluke. Being from minnesota I am a viking fan, but I pick St. Louis as a superbowl contender. Wonder if I made a wrong call.

It was a fluke, even Bret Farve has fumbled 6 times in a game before. Just a bad day to be playing any Rams.

The Rams where trailing that explains the Rushes. Strange that his receptions where so low. Was he in the whole game almost?

Warner started turning it over and they didn't have a ball to give Faulk. And then the Rams had to play catch-up so they passed.

He had 7 catches, the Giants were just keying on him and swarming so he couldn't go anywhere. It seemed like the Giants came into the game saying "Holt and Bruce can get theirs, but let's knock the crap out of Warner and Faulk", like the Pats did in the Super Bowl 2 years ago. Remember, that was the last time the Rams inspired fear into the defenses. Since that game, they've done nothing. Warner has been banged up and Faulk has been the focus of about 8 defenders a play. It seems to me like the Rams dominated so much because they had so many weapons that teams had to worry about. Today's game looked horrible offensively, but Holt and Bruce had over 100 yds each, but teams know the heart and soul is Faulk and Warner. Stop those two and the Rams WILL lose.

No, you're right, they did look good with Bulger, but that kind of proves what I was saying. With Warner out, they weren't as predictable. Teams weren't sure what to expect with Bulger. I think what it comes down to is the Rams are too predictable. Mike Martz is not a creative enough coach. A few trick plays a game doesn't make you cutting edge in the NFL. P.S.-Even with the Bulger games they didn't make the playoffs - not exactly rewriting the record books.

PHOOEY

the Rams had 54 passing attempts. Shave 20% of that off and redirect them to Marshall.

I don't care how far behind the Rams are...they should NEVER phase him out of the game.

Lunacy.
