27 - who gives a rats ass!

1-0 Baby! And against an NFC playoff capable team! Saweeeeet.

The most important thing I noticed was that we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot. Season after season it seemed like going into a game like this, and being in a position to win late, eventually someone, somewhere would finally say "mmmm...ooookay that's enough outta you" and then BLAMMO...Game's Over.

Not today.

Not today my feathered friends.

(BTW anyone else see that TATTOO of Hamlin on Stallworth?)

;-D ;-D ;-D ;-D

First of all,yes I did see that hit Hamlin laid on Stallworth. The guy reminds me of another second round pick safety the Hawks had:Robert Blackmon. They have not had a physical type safety like him until now.

My assesment of Marcus Trufant is as follows:The kid is going to be a superstar! He gave up a touchdown and another long pass to Joe Horn. While you may be thinking to yourself,"He gave up a TD and a long pass and the guy is going to be a superstar?"He was going to be the main target of the saints passing attack with springs being out.He was covering two of the better WRs in the game today. He was playing in his FIRST game as a pro and looked as if he was a five year vet.His recovery speed was outstanding. On one of stallworths receptions there was no one in the picture and then all of a sudden out of nowhere Trufant comes flying in and made a textbook tackle on one of the fastest WRs in the league. It was impressive!

overall the tackling was textbook! that was a nice change of pace)

Apparently Kenny Easley was quoted as saying (about Ken Hamlin) "I wish I was that good when I was that young"
