Shaun Alexander for Fred Taylor

Would dealing alexander for taylor straight up be a good idea, Im thinking Taylor is going to have the better all around year, and looking at alexanders year so far, sunday night might have been a one shot deal, he cant play sucky minnesota every game.
Please share, thanks

id stick with alexander for now. he has more upside (a little) and is less injury prone.

i agree with terp, sure taylor has had the better year,, but his past history with injuries is a sign that he may not make it through the year healthy.

Don't do this trade. Alexander is a better player than Fred, and it is about Fred's time to get hurt.

Well, i think if taylor can stay healthy, he would be the better playa in the long run, but, theres no garrentees in the nfl, so, stick with alexander and see if the game against the vikes was just bad defense or a good running back. Maybe both.

Three Reasons to stay away from this trade.

1. Alexander has abetter line and is a better all-around player than Fred.

2. Stacey Mack has been converted to the "Red zone Back" for the jags there for vulturing TD's from taylor.

3. The first three weeks the seahawks passed the ball almost the entire tim. In week four they figured it out. When they run the ball they win when the pass they loose.

Simple as that

stick with alexander because he is much less injury prone than taylor is

also a good point was brought up that mack wil steal TDs from taylor in the red zone and alexander doesnt have that. dilfer also took a bit to get back into rythm so that should spread the field better for alexander.

I agree with most here, stick with Alexander.... The point regarding Stacey Mack taking goal line touches - this may deminish Taylors value as well considering how well Mack did last week...
