HELP!! My Supplemental Draft starts tomorrow

Postby Draz » Wed Oct 02, 2002 12:28 am

My dilemma: My team has been the pits...yet all is not lost :)

I have the #2 pick in my league's supplement draft tomorrow and I really need to improve my FFL scoring production. My players of note are:

Brett Favre, QB

Edgerrin James, RB
Antowain Smith, RB
Stacey Mack, RB

Derrick Mason, WR
Troy Brown, WR
D'Wayne Bates, WR
Brian Finneran, WR

Eric Johnson, TE

Jeff Wilkins, K

The Bottom Line
--------------------
Trading is always an option, but the league I'm in has some very stingy GM's that have only eyed blatantly lopsided trades to this point.

- Derrick Mason is out for at least three weeks, which leaves me hurting at WR.
- Antowain Smith has not given me good production at RB because of the Patriots air assault and has been a liability on my roster.
- The downfall of the Rams has given Wilkins very little kicking opportunities since Week 1.
- Tight end production has been laughable, but unless I can trade for Gonzalez I'm not terribly worried about upgrading here over Eric Johnson even though there are still some good TE's left in free agency.

My Pick #2 choices (Here's where I need your help)
-----------------------------------------------------------
1. Steve Smith, WR (CAR)
2. Phil Dawson, K (CLE)
3. Moe Williams, RB (MIN)
4. Deion Branch, WR (NE)
5. Marcel Shipp, RB (ARZ)
6. Andre Davis, WR (CLE)

Who would you pick based on what was described above and do you see any good sleeper picks that I may be able to snag in Rounds 2 and 3? Thanks for your time :)

The league I'm in has a heavy emphasis on TD production. For position players, they don't start earning points for yardage until they rush or receive for over 80+ yards in a game. Needless to say, I was frustrated when Antowain Smith has 15 rushes for 80 yards last week against SD and then lost 2 yards on a badly called 4th Quarter draw play to finish with 78 yards :\
