Fantasy Football Cafe: Sit/Start Week 5

FF Cafe has Ahman Green as a start for Week 5. Although GB is playing a suspect NO D, I'm not sure I agree with this call. I have sat Green the majority of the season and will continue to until he proves something. Feel there are a few more 'better' starts than a GB back this week. Just my opinion...

Whatever. You could argue till your blue in the face over who should start/sit...it's just a guide...not a bible.

Start: Peyton Manning
Sit: Priest Holmes, Randy Moss, Tiki Barber

I still don't think David Carr is a good start, unless your other QB is someone like Orton, Losman, or Harrington.

I hope Green does play well, if at all this week, so then I could try and package him in a trade for a much needed receiver!

And agreed...

the one thing I like about the Cafe S/S is that they never are:

;-D ;-D to whoever writes those- I don't always agree, but it's good to see someone sticking their neck out occasionally.

I've avoided Green/Naj for two years now, simply because it seems that even when GB has a good game, it's more often than not simply Brett Favre being the HoF QB that he is, and they never gave the ball to the RBs. After the monster season by Green in '02 (?), when he faltered a bit they gave up on giving him the ball awfully quickly and went all Brett all the time.

So I'll agree- even against a weak run D, I'm sitting Green (well, if I owned him...)

Oh, and by the way, I'm offering consultations on how to keep your mouth shut if you don't have anything worth saying... only $2. ;-)

Just one note of factual accuracy on the start/sit article...

They recommended not to start KJ and I agree (I'm certainly sitting him this week), but then made a comment about him getting spelled by Artose Pinner in the 2nd half... that was due to injury, as far as I understand it, not performance. So, its not like KJ is in jeopardy of losing his starting job... he's just in jeopardy of seeing 8 in the box because Joey is his QB...
