The Man in Black

Postby footballchick23 » Thu Oct 06, 2005 12:21 pm

I know this is really random, as some of you may be too young to appreciate or have knowledge of the great Man in Black, but what would you guys say is the best Johnny Cash song?

My personal favorite is "Boy Named Sue", but he has so many others...I think I pretty much love 'em all!

I think he does a great cover of "Hurt"...didn't think anyone else could have sing it other than Trent, but Cash does a pretty damn good rendition.

His lyrics are just unbelievable...I guess he has a CD compilation that only has songs on it that are about killing someone!

I like Ring of Fire, but as a huge NIN fan his rendition of hurt was awesome. It almost seemed to be written for him when he sang it.

I loved his rendition of Hurt!

I'm also partial to Ring of Fire, myself.

Yeah Folsom Prison is one of my favorites
"When I was just a baby my mama told me son
Always be a good boy don't ever play with guns
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin' I hang my head and I cry"

I Walk the Line
Hurt was an amazing rendition
Chattanoga City Limit Sign
He also did a great version of Desperado

This is Johnny at his best
