The I Hate Mike Martz Thread

Postby Cornbread Maxwell » Mon Sep 08, 2003 8:53 pm

OK, lets hear it.

Mike Martz is the worst coach in the NFL - bar none.

Name one positive thing that has come from his decision making.

He inherited one of the most potent offenses in NFL history and within a few yrs transformed them into a sub .500 team.

Please dont turn this into a I Hate Warner thread. There have been issues between Warner and Martz since last yr. regarding playing Warner when he isnt 100%, and the first game of the yr this yr it deja vu all over. When a child puts his hand on the hot stove , he burns himself and realizes not to do it again. Martz doesnt have the same ability to learn.

A lot of the problems seem to come from the "Let's see if you can stop this" mentality that Martz has. Problems is, they can and have stopped them for over a year now and Martz has failed to realize this. They did shore up the D 2 years ago, but ever since NE showed everyone the way, the Rams have done nothing.

I think Martz has a gigantic ego. Doesn't seem to want to adjust to anything. Definetely a dumbass for not giving Marshall the ball. Every time they struggled in the past, they would get back to the running game to right the ship. Why the hell does he have to do it over and over again? You'd think he would have learned that they need some balance to be successful.
"Sometime during the Pats game last week, I decided that Tomlinson was the best overall running back of my lifetime. There's nothing he can't do: deadly receiver, tough inside runner, explosive to the outside, you name it." - ESPN's Bill Simmons

totally agree w. tomkatt...how can u only give marshall less then 20 touches all game, any other coach would build their gameplan around him????...i actually feel sick every time i see martz's face...i just hope the offense will be better next week with bulger at the helm and pray that my first round pick will get 20 carries, and at least 5 receptions...

Arrogance and early success = stupidity and hatred. The a** lobbies for a contract with bonus for his bunkmate Warner. And then ignores all evidence that shows Bulger as the better option. His response is to start his over priced bagger and call plays for him instead of Faulk. The good news is that he doesn’t have a choice now. I would think the prick would give the ball to Faulk as much as possible just to keep Bulger from out shining the bagger. Good news for Rams fans and Faulk owners.
