My point is this. A good coach, (see: Gruden, Parcells, Bill Walsh, etc.) controls his players. He passes along his approach to the game and inspires his players and makes them want to win and play hard. The Rams clearly have talent to spare, but they seem to just be going through the motions. You rarely see a lot of emotion or flare when they play. That's Martz's fault.
